Best Indian Web Series

1. Sacred Games

The first season of the web series 'Sacred-Game' came out last year as a sensation. This story of characters like Ganesh Gaitonde, Sartaj Singh, Kukku and Trivedi was super hit. But friends, the story has just begun. Sacred Games will return. With season 2. On netflix.

The first season of this series was directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwani together. All 8 episodes of the first season were released simultaneously. On 6 July 2018. All the flashbacks were directed by Anurag and all the real time scenes were directed by Vikramaditya. Now the part of Vikramaditya will be directed by Masaan fame Neeraj Ghevan. The lead roles in season one were Saif Ali Khan (Sartaj Singh), Nawazuddin (Ganesh Gaitonde) and Radhika Apte. Now Radhika Apte may not be in its second season.

This was probably a matter. What is pure is that Varun Grover, the lead writer of the previous season, will also remain in it. Which month will the season come in, it is not yet known. The shooting has not even started yet.

2. The Ministry

AIB was about to bring a political story with Irrfan Khan. Only in 2018 But Irfan had to withdraw from this project, due to health reasons. It is expected that this series will be ready in 2019 without Irrfan Khan or with him.

AIB is already very well known (notorious) due to its political inclusivity. It was fine for stand-up comedy, short videos and a few one-liners, but it will be interesting to see how vocal AIB is able to be in a long, Muslim, web series. 'The Ministry' is the story of a Bollywood actor who is appointed 'Minister of Culture' without his will. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video.

3.  Mirzapur Season 2 Amazon Prime Video

Just as 'Sacred Games' can be called Netflix's flagship web series, Amazon Prime Video's flagship web series is Mirzapur. And when the season two of the Sacred Games is about to come, then why will Mirzapur remain behind. Those who have seen the first season of Mirzapur know that at the end of it nothing was certain, nothing could be established. Except one thing. And that was its second season.

There has been no official announcement of the second season of Mirzapur, but according to speculation and rumors, shooting of Mirzapur - Season Two is going to start soon and all its episodes will be released by the end of the year.

4. Parchayee Ghost Stories

Famous Writer Ruskin Bond has a major contribution to children's literature. For this, he has been awarded Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. His stories have been very close to the heart of every teenager. Now a web series is coming out on his world famous horror stories. The name is 'Pardhai - Ghost Stories'. It will have 12 episodes based on 12 stories written by Bond. Bond told about this -

The first episode of the series will be available on Zee 5 on 15 January.

5. Gandi Baat Season 2

All 4 episodes of the first season of Gandi Baat were released on May 3, 2018 on Alt Balaji. These four episodes were such that if there was a censor board of the web series, it would not release it even with a certificate. Now the trailer of its second series has been launched. The series is also going to be released soon. On 07 January 2019.

This web series, promoted by the tag line of 'urban stories of rural India', coming to the second season so soon, proves how big is the undercurrent of concept - sex considered taboo in our country. As such, there was no utility other than entertainment for the first season of this series, neither directly nor indirectly did it enrich a person in any society or privately.

But looking at the trailer of season two, it seems that some issues have been raised in this season more than the first season. But this too seems to be an exercise to increase acceptance of 'cheap fun'.

6. Bahubali Before The Beginning

The film 'Bahubali' was released in two parts. 'Bahubali the Beginning' and 'Bahubali the Conclusion'. The hit was such that new records were made in terms of box office collections. 9. The Verdict - State vs Nanavati

Shantant Shah, who made 'Dasvidaniya' and 'Chalo Delhi', is now coming out with a web series. The name is 'The Verdict - State vs Nanavati'. It will be a series of 10 episodes in total and will be streamed on ALT Balaji. The web series will be based on a 1959 real life incident.

In 1959, a Navy officer surrendered himself by killing a businessman by shooting him. In those days this case was very much discussed in media. So much that the decisions of the court were also affected. Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom' was also made on this incident. Also, this case was also discussed in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet. Now in this web series, Angad Bedi and Sumit Vyas, who were discussed with 'Surma', will be in the main role. Angad is going to play the role of Karl Jamshed Khandalawala and Sumit Ram Jethmalani in it. Swedish native Elli Avram will also play an important role in this web series.

10. The Forgotten Arm

Kabir Khan, known for films like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Kabul Express' and 'Ek Tha Tiger', is bringing his first original web series for Amazon Prime. The name is 'The Forgotten Army'. The web series will be based on the 'Indian National Army' of 'Subhash Chandra Bose'. Shooting of Forgotten Army is on since December. Before this, Kabir has also made a documentary in 1999 with the same name. Now a web series of 8 episodes will be made by refining the content of the same documentary.

This series, based on true events, is a story of bravery of men and women recruited in the Indian National Army. Another feature of this period drama web series is its global casting. Meaning, artists from many countries will be in it and all will speak in those languages in which they will be comfortable. Meaning that you will not be able to listen to broken amateurs of broken Hindi. Thus subtitles may also be an important part of this project.
