4. Mark 17 nuclear bomb (USA)


The Mark 17 was the first mass-produced hydrogen bombs deployed by the US.
The Mark 17 was 24 feet 8 inches long, 61.4 inches diameter. They weighed
21 tons. The Mark 17 had a yield of 15 megatonnes of TNT.

The Soviet RDS-220 hydrogen bomb & the code name of this was Ivan known by Western
nations as Tsar Bomba. this is the world most powerfull atomic bomb ever made by
any of the nation. this was Tested on 30 October 1961 & results and other data
suggested the bomb yielded about 58 megatons. All buildings in the village of
Severny both wooden and brick, located 55 km from ground zero within the Sukhoy
Nos test range, were destroyed. fireball reached nearly as high as the altitude

ascended. The mushroom cloud was about 67 km high this is over seven times
the height of Mount Everest. peak width of 95 km and its base was 40 km wide.
